Dr. Mihaela Mițariu is a Professor at “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, Faculty of Medicine. She served as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine from 2016 to 2018. As a primary physician in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, she also coordinates the BMF Surgery department.
In December 2010, she earned her Ph.D. in Dental Medicine with the thesis on “Possibilities and means of reconstruction in limited bone substance losses of the jaws.”
Dr. Mițariu is a Senator at the Senate of the “Lucian Blaga” University and a member of the “Victor Papilian” Faculty of Medicine Council. She’s involved in the faculty’s admission and licensing committees.
Holding an annual updated patent for an osseointegrated implant for fixed prosthetic constructions since 2010, she is an author and co-author of over 30 articles published in ISI-rated journals and more than 50 articles in BDI-rated journals. Furthermore, she has directed and been a member of over 20 national and international research projects.
